First time visiting Moonchild in Greville Street. The service was excellent. Lovely staff. We couldn’t fault the food at all. We had the pork ribs (so tender), tikka tacos and the pulled pork flatbread. Finished off with a lovely spritz. Will definitely return!

Another suburb, another gem to discover. This time in Prahran, we visited Moonchild Bistro and were impressed by how creative their dishes are. Their naan tacos with tandoori chicken are a standout—an unexpected yet delicious fusion of Latin American and South Asian flavours. The Turkish chilli eggs were just as memorable, especially knowing the time and care that goes into preparing them. And if you’re after something visually pleasing, their French toast is beautifully presented and perfect for those who appreciate aesthetics on the plate. Beyond the food, the warm hospitality made the experience even better. Shoutout to Gavi for managing everything smoothly, and Chef Mandeep, whose award-winning experience in New Zealand clearly shines through in the menu

The food is amazing! I love the breakfast and lunch options and the cocktails are fantastic. The staff and people are great and the vibe is fantastic. I’d definitely visit again for more drinks and breakfast.

Saturday lunch Birthday celebration for my mother in law. Lovely staff, cosy indoor seating and a reasonable menu. Food was alright and may be on a smaller serve size. Tasted fusion so we were all slightly surprised with the flavour of our dishes. Fries was well done and the drinks were fantastic.

Moonchild Bistro is an absolute gem, the coffee alone is worth the visit! Beautifully crafted using beans sourced from Papua New Guinea, Brazil, and India, and the flavour is incredibly tasty and well balanced. You can really tell care has gone into every cup. The food was just as impressive!! Generous portions made with fresh ingredients, all presented with genuine dedication and love. I had the French Toast and my partner had the smoked salmon. Both were served on croissant loaf roast which we'd never had before. Really complimented both meals and was great to try something new besides the typical sourdough options at other cafes. Everything felt thoughtful, from plating to flavour. I loved their motto 'we don't serve fast food, we serve fresh food'. A wonderful spot for both great coffee and a satisfying meal, we’ll definitely be back.
